ABOUT FLAGSHIP COMMODITIES

Flagship Commodities is a Commodity Trading and Investment company. We have been active in sourcing and export of mineral sands and import of agricultural chemicals and fertiliser, since 2008. Flagship has been operating for over 25 years and now focuses on mineral sands and related resource commodities.

JOHN DEAN - MANAGING DIRECTOR

John Dean is the Founder and Managing Director of Flagship Commodities. He holds an Economics degree from the ANU and an MBA from the AGSM at NSW University. He is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and studied in Taiwan on an Austrade Fellowship in the early 1990’s.

John has worked as a chemical trader for an Australian JV subsidiary of one of China's largest SOE's, China Chemicals, and set up their business offices in South Africa and Taiwan. He was a protein trader for one of Australia’s largest grain and stockfeed traders, and held procurement and strategy roles with Rio Tinto and Boston Consulting Group.

He is directly responsible for management of our investment and trading activities.
